Reconciliation Analyst - Wealth Operations
About the role
The main purpose of this job is to complete high volume, complex reconciliations of products and services offered across Commerce Bank. Essential Functions include performing daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner, executing reconciliation of complex accounting activities, ensuring all aged items are researched and resolved, resolving extraordinarily complex reconciliation issues, monitoring large Suspense Accounts, participating in projects to support future initiatives, representing the line of business on projects, creating or updating procedures on various job functions, and performing other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner
- Execute reconciliation of complex accounting activities, including processes of multiple financial product offerings, General Ledger Accounts, and various banking activities
- Ensure all aged items are researched and resolved in an effective and efficient manner according to the aged item parameters
- Resolve extraordinarily complex reconciliation issues to limit financial liability and exposure to the organization
- Perform reconciliations on large Suspense Accounts with 3,000 plus items a day, which are monitored by the Assistant Controller of Commerce Bank
- Ensure all reconciliation processes meet or exceed procedural requirements
- Participate in projects to support future initiatives, such as implementing new and upgraded technologies to achieve established goals
- Represent line of business on projects acting as subject matter expert when appropriate
- Create or update procedures on various job functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of banking products and services
- Strong knowledge of complex accounting functions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to research and resolve discrepancies
- Strong knowledge of EIB Workday Uploads, DFE Uploads, and other imports methods
- Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
- Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 5+ years reconciliation experience required, preferably in financial services
- Experience in complex, high volume account reconciliation preferred

Pay
A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $23.80 to $27.65 per hour.
