Miller Healthcare is looking for a Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff, creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere within the facility.

About the role

The Receptionist manages front desk operations, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and handling basic administrative tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to outstanding customer service in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and direct visitors, providing accurate information and directing them to appropriate departments.
  • Manage phone operations: answer incoming calls, route calls, and handle messages professionally.
  • Communicate housekeeping or maintenance concerns via walkie-talkie.
  • Assist with confirming appointments in coordination with the Care-A-Van schedule and drivers.
  • Perform clerical duties: filing, photocopying, scanning, and managing office supplies, including ordering.
  • Provide basic information to patients and visitors about facility services, policies, and procedures.
  • Support the Business Office Manager by collecting payments and ensuring accurate deposits.
  • Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, including infection control, safety, abuse, neglect, and resident privacy (HIPAA).
  • Complete assigned training modules in the Learning Management System (LMS) to stay current on required skills and policies.
  • Assist with special administrative projects as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked reception area, including the coffee bar and lounge.
  • Help organize meetings, conferences, or special events within the facility.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a receptionist or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some college coursework in office administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Certification in medical office administration or similar is a plus.

Pay

USD $15.45 - USD $18.26 per hour.
