Riverside Senior Life’s Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff, creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere within the facility.
Responsibilities
- Greet and direct patients, visitors, and staff; provide accurate information and route them to the correct departments.
- Answer, screen, and transfer incoming calls; manage messages promptly and professionally.
- Communicate housekeeping or maintenance concerns via walkie-talkie.
- Assist with confirming appointments in coordination with the Care-A-Van schedule and drivers.
- Perform clerical duties: filing, photocopying, scanning, managing office supplies, and placing supply orders.
- Provide basic information to patients and visitors about facility services, policies, and procedures.
- Support the Business Office Manager or Administrator by collecting resident/family payments and ensuring accurate deposits.
- Handle all patient information in strict compliance with HIPAA and other privacy laws.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations related to infection control, safety, abuse, neglect, and resident privacy.
- Complete all assigned training modules and courses in the Learning Management System to maintain required skills and knowledge.
Non-essential Duties
- Assist with special administrative projects as assigned by management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked reception area with brochures and forms.
- Help organize meetings, conferences, or special events held in the facility.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum 1–2 years of receptionist or customer-service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
