Responsibilities
- Maintains Bureau Chief and Deputy Chief's schedules
- Responds to telephone inquiries, directs calls accordingly, and records messages
- Prepares all correspondence for managerial staff
- Maintains an efficient filing system for all correspondence
- Requisitions office supplies for the unit
- Maintains vacation and sick leave calendar of employees within the unit
- Collects timesheets from ADAs weekly and submits to Bureau Chief for signature
- Ensures all equipment is in good working order and places requests for repair tickets
- Provides coverage in the absence of the Receptionist
- Assists with unit special projects
- Performs other related duties as necessary
Requirements
- Ability to understand and carry out simple instructions
- Must be able to understand and be understood in English
Preferred Skills
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills, including the ability to take initiative, prioritize duties, and work both independently and within a team environment
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Familiarity with case tracking, CIMS, and Office of Court Administration (OCA)
- Strong attention to detail

There are no formal education or experience requirements for this position.
Residency Requirement
New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County.
Pay
$45,675.00 per year
