Receptionist - Radiology
Schedule
- Variable schedule: 6:00a - 2:30p and 8:30 - 5:00p Monday - Friday / Every 3rd Saturday (6a-2:30p), No holidays
- Affirms that all customers are greeted and received promptly and courteously.
- Maintains patient wait times using visual and/or the Radiology Information System.
- Ensures appropriate paperwork is processed correctly, organizes and compiles information, answers telephone according to established protocol, and performs follow-up as necessary.
- Assists with the orientation of students and/or new employees.
- Handles account balance collections and setting up payment plans for patients at the time of check-in.
- Formal Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Experience & Training: One (1) year prior clerical experience in medical records, medical insurance claims processing, customer service, or related public contact; Experience utilizing a computer in a Windows or DOS environment, Fax machine, and copier/scanner.
- Medical Terminology Exam: Must pass a medical terminology exam administered by Human Resources.
- Computer Skills: Ability to efficiently utilize PC, fax, and other office equipment required to complete responsibilities of the job.
- Interpersonal Communication: Ability to pay close attention to detail in order to process patients appropriately. Ability to work within the customer service policies and procedures for the assigned area.
- Light Typing.
- May work with others or independently on routine tasks following written and oral instructions, referring special problems or unusual circumstances to supervision.
- Ability to handle peaks and valleys in volume, numerous interruptions while carrying out routine tasks and necessitates coordination of many functions quickly and accurately.

Salary Range
The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials.
