About the role
The Academy of the Sacred Heart, founded in 1851, is Michigan’s oldest independent school, providing a Catholic, college-preparatory education to girls (infant-Grade 12) and boys (infant-Grade 8). As part of the international network of Sacred Heart Schools, the Academy is committed to the Goals and Criteria that guide its educational mission.
Responsibilities
- Uphold the Goals and Criteria of the Network of Sacred Heart Schools and embody and communicate the school’s mission and core values.
- Gatekeeper of the community, following established guidelines for admittance into the school.
- Arrive and be ready at designated location on-time.
- Answer the phone, greet, and assist guests pleasantly and with courtesy.
- Keep an organized workspace.
- Assist with printing, folding, sorting, or mailing, event programs or other mailings generated at school.
- Handle office tasks, such as filing, generating reports, setting up for meetings, and reordering supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Technology Requirements
- Proficiency in MS Project, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Windows.
- Knowledge of multi-line phone systems, fax, and copier.
- Google Suite.
- Website and email proficiency.

Minimum Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Working toward or completed Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
