Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, the San Mateo-Foster City School District educates approximately 10,500 students (representing 50 languages) in preschool through eighth grades across 22 schools. About the Role

The San Mateo-Foster City School District is seeking a Receptionist/Office Assistant for the District Office (Spanish speaking preferred). Under supervision, this role serves as the primary in-person and telephone receptionist, receiving and directing calls, taking messages, assisting visitors, providing information, and performing varied clerical work of average difficulty.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary receptionist for the District Office, greeting visitors and answering phone calls.
  • Direct visitors and callers to appropriate staff or departments.
  • Take and relay messages accurately.
  • Provide general information to callers and visitors.
  • Perform varied clerical tasks, including data entry, filing, and document preparation.

Requirements

  • Typing certificate demonstrating 45+ words per minute (WPM).
  • Successful completion of a district clerical test.
  • Resume submission.

Pay

Hourly pay range: $24.74 - $31.57.

Schedule
