Receptionist/ Medical Assistant Float- Taylor Regional Medical Group

About the role

This is a full-time, day-shift float position covering multiple offices within Taylor Regional Medical Group.

Responsibilities

• Greets and assists patients in a professional and courteous manner.
• Answers telephone calls, schedules appointments, and provides information to patients.
• Participates in required education, competencies, and annual training.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and other team members.
• Follows HIPAA compliance.
• Responds to emergent situations, demonstrates strong skills, and responds appropriately.
• Assists with procedures and follows all verbal and written orders from the provider.
• Accurately takes patient phone calls and messages to ensure they are delivered to the provider and follows up with the patient for provider instructions.
• Handles front desk paperwork or computer responsibilities and reception area maintenance daily.
• Registers patients, verifies demographic and insurance information, and collects payments when applicable.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred
• 2-3+ years experience in a physician office setting
• BLS certification through American Heart Association (renewals included with employment)
