Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and complete registration, insurance verification, and copay collection in Epic.
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to voicemail messages, and assist patients with appointment-related questions.
  • Make appointment reminder and rescheduling calls as needed.
  • Retrieve, sort, and distribute mail and faxes.
  • Cover appointment reminders and rescheduling calls as needed.
  • Coordinate the collection and scanning of outside medical records into Epic.
  • Process patient forms, correspondence, and documentation requests.
  • Routinely route prescription refill requests and other patient inquiries to the appropriate clinical staff.
  • Absolutely process insurance authorizations for non-formulary medications as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and provide general administrative support to the practice.

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • At least one (1) year of customer service experience is required.
  • At least one (1) year of medical receptionist or related healthcare office experience is required.
  • Experience with Epic EMR is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills are required.

Schedule

Monday-Thursday: 8:30-5:00 p.m.
Fridays: 8:30-12 p.m.

Pay

Salary Range: Minimum 20.00/hour - Maximum 20.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
