About the role
The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant position is available at the ASSA ABLOY corporate headquarters in New Haven, CT. This temporary role covers a leave and reports to the HR Manager.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome visitors professionally and courteously.
- Answer, screen, and forward all incoming calls.
- Provide general clerical support, including mailing, scanning, faxing, and copying.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and conference calls.
- Prepare and modify documents such as correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, and emails.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and issues promptly.
- Provide information to clients and visitors regarding company services and procedures.
- Perform data entry tasks and update records accurately.
- Aid other departments with various projects and tasks as needed.
- Support the General Manager, Process Improvement Team, and Profit Center Managers by organizing and updating data, and handling special projects.
- Participate in onboarding initiatives, including document compilation, background check initiation, electronic record maintenance, and assisting with new hire orientations.
- Facilitate companywide employee engagement initiatives, which includes meeting room and vendor bookings, and coordinating various cultural events.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Degree.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative support role.
- Consideration given to entry-level applicants with relevant internship experience.
- Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong analytical, communication, and team management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Sound judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Aptitude to work with all levels of management and cross-functional teams.
- Confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

Pay
