About the role
The Regional Center of the East Bay (RCEB) is one of 21 Regional Centers that are community-based, private non-profit corporations under contract with the California Department of Developmental Services. RCEB provides intake, assessment, diagnosis, and coordinates community-based services for over 25,000 children and adults with developmental disabilities in Alameda and Contra Costa counties.
Responsibilities
- Answer all incoming calls and connect to appropriate staff member or respective secretary.
- If there is no answer, take a message and notify staff member when available.
- Receive clients and visitors and notify appropriate staff member.
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling visitor sign in sheets and provide visitor labels.
- Schedule/update Outlook calendars for conference and assessment rooms.
- Receive packages when clerk not available.
- Check console in morning for calls received after hours, and notify appropriate staff members.
- Aid with mass mailings and researching mailings to route to appropriate destination.
- File electronically in client charts.
- Perform other clerical duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience with multi-line console.
- One year experience as receptionist.
- Professional attitude and customer service oriented.
- Ability to safeguard consumer privileged and confidential information a must.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook and Word).
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak).
- Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity and an ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.

Pay
Salary range: $2,072.76 - $3,005.12 Bi-weekly; $53,891.76 - $78,133.12 Annual
