Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist visitors, clients, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Manage incoming calls, screen and direct them promptly to the appropriate personnel or department
  • Provide switchboard coverage and maintain accurate call logs
  • Schedule appointments and meetings related to freight pickups, deliveries, and internal operations
  • Receive and distribute incoming mail and packages, ensuring timely delivery to relevant staff
  • Scan, file, and process freight documentation
  • Assist with Customer Service Representatives during their absence
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area and ensure office supplies are stocked
  • Perform other related administrative tasks and support team projects as needed

Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proven experience in receptionist or front desk roles, preferably in transportation or logistics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Professional and friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
