Responsibilities
- Greets family and visitors, answers general inquiries, assists/directs to the appropriate party
- Performs clerical tasks and assists with residents' needs as needed
- Operates office equipment such as fax machines, scanners, copiers, and uses computers for various applications
- Answers telephones with a pleasant demeanor, gives information to callers, takes messages, or transfers calls
- Greet persons entering the establishment, determine the nature and purpose of visits, and direct or escort them to specific destinations or appropriate persons
- Maintains confidentiality of resident, staff personnel, and employment information
- Mails newsletters, promotional material, or other information/documents using computer, mail, or facsimile machine
- Organizes and maintains reported maintenance work orders received from residents and staff
- Performs administrative support tasks, such as typing, formatting, proofreading, recommending revisions on documents, making copies of correspondence or other printed material
- Distributes incoming mail or other materials on day received and prepares outgoing mail by next scheduled pickup
- Assists with special programs, meetings, or events by scheduling space or equipment
- Responds to the Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) when a page is received due to a resident activating their emergency button
- Assesses the situation and calls 911 for assistance when necessary
- Keeps resident and staff personal information confidential
- Attends and participates in all appropriate meetings and training opportunities to stay informed on current information and skill development
- Fulfills other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Graduate/General Education Degree (GED) or enrolled in program if under age 18
- One to two years related experience
- Proficient skills in computers and Microsoft Office Software
