Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors and patients
- Answer incoming calls and route to the appropriate person or department
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail
- Document incoming deliveries
- Provide clerical support as assigned
- Process visitors per hospital policy and procedure (check for contraband, use metal detector, prescribed search methods)
- Announce codes and complete emergency procedures
- Assure visitor sign‑in/out
- Review and document patient belongings
- Identify escalation issues in the reception area
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
