Receptionist
Full-Time, Non-Exempt position
Pay
$17.00 per hour
Schedule
- 40 hours per week
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Greet and direct all customers seeking services and/or information from NOI.
- Welcome, inform, and direct all visitors, calls, and customers in a courteous and expeditious manner.
- Ensure that all customers, community leaders, and officials feel welcomed and well received by the agency.
- Direct visitors to sign in and call the person with whom they are meeting. If the designated staff member is not available, call an assigned contact person.
- Contact appropriate departments if a visitor appears without an appointment to determine if the visitor can be seen or needs to leave information for a follow-up call.
- Maintain and keep the reception area organized so that customers and visitors can be assisted in an orderly, pleasant, timely, and business-like manner.
- Maintain a visitor log and provide summary information as requested.
- Direct visitors to elevators and bathroom facilities, as appropriate.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 - 2 years of related experience and/or training preferred.
- Ability to perform various and multiple tasks.
- Telephone skills.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Microsoft Office skills.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Customer service experience.
- Recordkeeping abilities.
- Written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work with diverse groups.
- Bilingual is a plus.
