About the role
A Receptionist at Copper Springs East Behavioral Health provides administrative support and performs receptionist, clerical, customer service, and other non-technical duties within practices or departments.
Responsibilities
- Provides administrative support and performs receptionist, clerical, customer service, and other non-technical duties within practices or departments.
- Prepares statistical reports and performs clerical tasks, including preparing and distributing mail, maintaining filing systems, entering data, managing databases, typing documents and correspondence, photocopying, scanning, and faxing.
- Greets visitors and communicates effectively with patients, providers, and other offices, departments, and facilities.
- Places, answers, and directs telephone calls and distributes messages.
- Organizes, coordinates, and schedules meetings and appointments.
- Maintains a neat and organized office environment and monitors and orders office supplies.
- Handles information requests by reviewing files and records, answering inquiries, and responding to incoming work requests.
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinates workflow and compiles records of office activities.
- Performs basic accounting functions, including reviewing invoices, making deposits, and managing petty cash in offices or departments where payments are collected or processed.
- Attends and participates in staff meetings, in-service training, projects, and committees as assigned.
- Adheres to and supports STRHS policies and procedures.
- Works scheduled shifts, including overtime when necessary.
- Accepts all call schedules as assigned.
- Maintains a neat and professional appearance in compliance with the established dress code.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Associates Degree.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Qualifications
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
Skills

Pay
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Full-time schedule is typically 40 hours per week.
