About the role
A friendly, professional, and organized Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our mental-health clinic, creating a welcoming and supportive environment while ensuring efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Answer and route incoming phone calls promptly and professionally using a multi-line telecommunications system.
- Greet clients, visitors, and community partners with courtesy and compassion.
- Direct walk-in clients and visitors to the appropriate staff members or services.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments daily.
- Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
- Assist with patient registration, intake paperwork, and data entry.
- Monitor the reception area to ensure a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
- Respond to general inquiries and provide information about clinic services.
- Support staff with filing, scanning, and other office duties.
- Coordinate communication between clients and clinical staff.
- Assist with financial intakes when needed.
- Print and distribute routine schedules and service reports.
Incumbent must be highly organized with multi-tasking skills, capable of managing requests from multiple staff in a high-traffic, high-noise setting. Strong interpersonal skills are essential.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (required).
- Prior mental-health experience (preferred).
- Ability to communicate and work effectively in a fast-paced setting; ability to plan, implement, and prioritize assignments.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Work well in a team setting.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
