About the role
As our Receptionist, you’re the fast-moving hub that keeps Floyds 99 Barbershop - Longmont running smooth and guests feeling instantly taken care of. This role exists to create a sharp first impression, keep the flow on track, and protect an upbeat, customer-first experience.
Your day kicks off with the shop coming to life—music on, doors opening, and a steady stream of guests. You’ll bounce between quick conversations, keeping the front area looking crisp, and staying one step ahead as the pace builds. Between bursts of activity, you’ll reset the space, keep things stocked, and help the team stay organized. Some moments are smooth and simple; others call for patience and a cool head when a guest is frustrated or expectations run high. By close, everything’s back in order and you’ve helped deliver a seamless, high-energy experience from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests, manage check-in/check-out, and handle payments accurately
- Answer phones, schedule/route inquiries, and communicate clearly with the team
- Maintain a clean, organized lobby and support shop upkeep as needed
- Stay calm, professional, and solutions-focused when challenges pop up
Skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy, onsite setting
- Strong customer service mindset, reliability, and attention to detail
