About the role

We are seeking a full-time Receptionist to join our growing Overland Park office. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, and able to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will demonstrate strong technical, customer service, and interpersonal skills while maintaining a professional and organized front office presence. Gain valuable legal experience by working alongside experienced attorneys practicing in state and federal courts in the Midwest.

Responsibilities

  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Greet clients, visitors, and vendors, direct them to the appropriate personnel, and maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming reception area.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and office correspondence.
  • Monitor and order office and kitchen supplies, maintain expense records, and provide general administrative support, including filing, scanning, photocopying, data entry, and other clerical duties as needed.
  • Enter client and attorney expenses into the firm's case management and financial systems.
  • Submit payment and reimbursement requests, maintain supporting documentation, and coordinate with the Accounting Department to ensure timely processing and accurate recordkeeping.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to provide administrative support to attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional telephone etiquette.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing outstanding client service.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Previous receptionist, administrative assistant, or law firm experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of one year of experience working in a business setting preferred.
  • High school Diploma or GED.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
