Worker Type Regular Job Description Position Description: DNA Learning Center Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, a world-renowned scientific research organization located on the North Shore of Long Island, is seeking a part-time Receptionist to join a small administrative team at the Dolan DNA Learning Center. Position Responsibilities Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Answering phonesMeeting and greeting teachers, students, and visitorsCreating purchasing requisitions and work ordersHandling registrations, data entry and filingInvoicing and collecting money from schools/ organizationsDistributing department mailAssisting with emailing campaigns and other administrative projectsManaging staff calendars Position Requirements EDUCATION: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience Skills & Experience Two years secretarial/administrative experience preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail is imperative. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Good judgment and decision-making skills. Familiar with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook & Excel.
