Receptionist
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, greeting guests warmly and ensuring they feel welcome.
- Answer, screen, and redirect incoming phone calls in a professional and timely manner.
- Cook up front-desk activities, including managing visitor sign-ins and directing visitors to the appropriate person or department.
- Distribute correspondence such as mail, packages, and internal documents to the correct recipients.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support across the organization as needed.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and maintain organized records and files.
- Operate office equipment such as fax machines, printers, and copiers to support daily office functions.
- Support customer service by responding to inquiries and providing information or assistance to customers and visitors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front-desk area that reflects positively on the organization.
- Aid with scheduling, basic administrative coordination, and other office support tasks as assigned.
- Handle issues and minor emergencies at the front desk in a resourceful, proactive, and timely manner.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and prioritizing workload effectively.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or in a similar administrative or customer-facing role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong skills in Excel.
- Hands-on experience using office equipment such as fax machines, printers, and copiers.
- Strong clerical and administrative skills, including data entry and general office support.
- Professional attitude and appearance, with a polished and customer-focused demeanor.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise at the front desk.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Customer service orientation, with the ability to interact positively with visitors, callers, and colleagues.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
Qualifications
- Experience providing receptionist customer service in a front desk or front office environment.
- Background in administrative assistance, secretarial work, or office administration.
- Comfort working in a visible, customer-facing role throughout the day.
- Additional certification in Office Management or a related field is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other office personnel and support team objectives.
Work Environment
- The Receptionist works at the company’s front desk in a highly visible, customer-facing area.
- The role involves regular interaction with visitors, customers, and office staff, creating a professional and welcoming first impression.
- The position operates alongside other office personnel in a collaborative environment.
- Standard hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- The role requires regular use of office equipment such as fax machines, printers, and computers running Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- The dress code is business casual, reflecting a professional yet comfortable office setting.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morrisville, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
