Role Responsibilities
- Check in patients, manage appointments (bookings, follow-ups, cancellations), and ensure a smooth patient journey.
- Answer incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally, directing queries appropriately and providing accurate information to patients, consultants, and internal teams.
- Post letters, handle documentation, audit trails, and consultant referral/charge sheets accurately.
- Aid with doctors’ and nurses’ administrative needs and respond to queries.
- Understand self-funding/insured patient processes, take payments/deposits, process refunds, and liaise with the bookings team.
Key Skills / Qualifications Needed
- Experience of working in a high-level customer face to face customer service environment is essential.
- A strong work ethic with a proactive and dependable approach.
- Genuine passion for delivering exceptional patient care and service.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A collaborative team player who contributes positively to the environment.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Comfortable using IT systems and handling administrative tasks.
- A friendly, welcoming manner with a focus on creating a positive patient experience.
