Position Summary
The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant under limited supervision of the Office Manager, is responsible for answering incoming phone calls, reception and guidance of our guests. Handle some administrative activities including but not limited to, receiving shipments, filing and organizing documents, as well as providing general clerical support.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors and help navigate to relevant department.
- Answer direct phone calls in a polite and friendly manner.
- Opens, sorts, and distributes incoming USPS.
- Type and compose correspondence includes memos, letters, minutes, labels, forms, etc.
- Maintain filing system.
- Reviews all timecards for all locations.
- Perform attendance recordkeeping.
- Bi-weekly mailings.
- Maintain reception area and all common areas in a clean and tidy manner at all times.
- Take inventory of supplies and restock as needed.
- Performs other administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. such as communication with others via phone or in-person.
- Excellent written communication methods, typed correspondence, handwritten correspondence.
- Accurate, consistent, and detail oriented.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to work well independently.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of general office experience.
Work Environment
The employee is occasionally exposed to dirt, dust, and fumes from the shop. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
