About the role
The Overnight Receiving Supervisor oversees and directs warehouse operations in retail stores. Key responsibilities include managing staff schedules, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining equipment, and enforcing safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Directs and oversees warehouse activities such as shipping, receiving, maintenance, and inventory control.
- Schedules warehouse personnel to ensure productivity and cost efficiency.
- Maintains warehouse equipment through preventive maintenance and communicates necessary repairs.
- Ensures a safe and compliant workplace by implementing and enforcing safety programs.
- Trains and supervises warehouse personnel, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Handles employee inquiries and resolves issues, coordinating with other departments.
- Monitors paperwork flow from receiving to inventory control, ensuring timely data entry.
- Executes Storage Buy Audits and manages inventory rotation.
- Manages warehouse safety programs and compliance with OSHA regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Excellent interpersonal, team-building, delegating, and follow-up skills.
- Effective communication skills (oral and written).
- Basic mathematical calculations and strong computer skills (Windows-based systems).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines.
- Availability to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons.
