About the role
Responsible for the safe and timely movement of materials per information in Armor IIMAK’s inventory control system, maintaining inventory accuracy. Demonstrates the ability and willingness to execute varying work assignments as necessary. Operates all material handling equipment within the warehouse. Position requires interactions at all levels of the internal organization. Common external interactions include manufacturing employees, truck drivers, and other on-site contractors.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Material Handler for Production Dept.
- Operate all material distribution equipment in the warehouse.
- Daily safety inspection of material handling equipment and battery charging/changing station.
- Transport materials between warehouses utilizing a box truck.
- Issue and return materials to production and inventory locations.
- Conduct inventory cycle counts and location audits.
- Use Microsoft applications and other internal programs.
- Operates a forklift, a cherry picker, and a narrow isle forklift to retrieve, move and load materials.
- Responsible for maintaining 5S practices in entire warehouse.
Requirements
- 6 months of general warehouse experience required.
- Forklift and electric pallet-jack experience preferred.
- Inventory control experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills to interface with all production departments to ensure material requirements are correct and on time to avoid machine downtime.
- Good PC skills.
- RF scanner experience a plus.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Schedule
Thursday-Monday 8am-4:30pm, or Friday-Tuesday 8am-4:30pm. Training first few weeks would be Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM.
