About the role
The Receiving Lead supports the Operations Manager/General Operations Manager by leading, guiding, and directing a group of associates to meet daily departmental goals in Safety, Service, Quality, and Cost. This position is located in Litchfield Park, AZ.
Responsibilities
- Share business information through floor presence
- Collaborate with other department Leads/Operations Managers to assist and trade resources as needed
- Suggest improvements to current techniques
- Train and direct a team of associates to achieve departmental production goals
- Control workflow on the floor, prioritizing team goals to meet deadlines
- Track productivity, research and resolve issues, and provide feedback on performance
- Promote safety awareness and cultivate a safety culture
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- At least 1 year in a leadership role
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to multi-task and maintain extreme attention to detail in communications and documentation
- Basic math skills (addition and subtraction)
- Able to take initiative and work with minimal direction
- Excellent attendance and willingness to be part of a team
- Available to work overtime and flexible schedules
- Available to work in various departments and buildings as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 2 years of work experience in high-volume distribution or manufacturing
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems
Physical Requirements
- Able to bend, reach, squat, and climb stairs/ladders
- Ability to climb stairs and/or walk 100% of the day
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
