Receiving Lead

About the Role

Lead the receiving team in managing incoming deliveries and inventory. Responsible for unloading packages, inspecting goods for damage, verifying contents against purchase orders, updating digital records, and safely storing items in designated inventory locations.

Responsibilities

• Follow company policy and procedures
• Follow company safety and housekeeping requirements
• Inspect incoming items for order accuracy
• Inspect incoming items for damage
• Reject damaged or incorrect items
• Receive items in ERP system
• Properly label items
• Complete all required paperwork per company standards
• Follow company processes and policies
• Deliver items to appropriate drop zone
• Maintain 5S organization and cleanliness
• Learn Sage and accounting processes
• Lead team in following Sage and accounting processes
• Train receiving clerk on all processes
• Monitor team to ensure processes are being followed
• Ensure timely receiving of same day or next morning
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous receiving experience using an ERP system
• Fork truck experience
• Attention to details
• Organizational skills
• Ability to lead a team
• Ability to train others
• Experience in 5s practices
• Experience with ISO 9001
• Sage or other ERP system
