About the role
The Receiving Inspector / Parts Clerk is responsible for supplying mechanics with their parts and tool needs, and maintaining records associated with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, audits, and real-time system updates to ensure inventory integrity above performance targets.
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders and documentation.
- Organize and optimize warehouse storage locations for efficiency, ensuring proper labeling, rotation (FIFO), and accessibility of all items.
- Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, and operations teams to resolve discrepancies, improve inventory processes, and minimize stockouts or overstock situations.
- Responsible for the disposition of approved parts.
- Responsible for the disposition of tool calibrations.
- Aids with physical inventories.
- Aids with shipping/receiving paperwork and systems input.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; 3–12 months of experience in warehouse, inventory, logistics, or similar roles preferred (aviation experience not required).
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as P.O.s, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn new computer programs.
- Basic data entry skills required.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
- Must meet airport badging requirements, including a TSA Security background check.
- May be required to operate company provided vehicles. Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet all company insurance criteria.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
- The noise level in the work environment varies from moderate to very loud.
