Aircraft Electric Motors is seeking a Receiving Inspector to join our quality team. As a Receiving Inspector, you will be part of the quality department, supporting aerospace repair and hardware incoming inspections. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, motivation to learn, and strong communication skills.
About the role
The receiving inspector checks incoming repair orders, parts, raw materials, and hardware to verify they match engineering drawings, purchase orders, and quality standards. They use precision tools to check items, review supplier certifications, and approve or reject shipments before routing them into production or inventory.
Responsibilities
- Perform documented inspections of incoming aerospace repair orders, hardware and materials
- Verify purchase order compliance and review supplier documentation including Certificates of Conformance and test reports
- Conduct dimensional and visual inspections using calibrated tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Compare inspection results against engineering drawings and specifications, escalating discrepancies as needed
- Accurately record inspection results and maintain traceability documentation in company computer systems
Requirements
- 1–2 years of inspection, manufacturing, warehouse, or mechanical experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and dependability
- Basic clerical skills with a willingness to work neatly
- Ability to read work instructions and manuals
- Ability to follow structured procedures and communicate effectively
- Pre-employment FAA Drug Test required
- Work overtime if needed
Previous experience is desirable. If not, initial training may be provided.
