Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Immediately document any damage upon receipt, including taking photos and consulting with technical staff as needed.
- Prepare incoming documentation in accordance with customer purchase orders and special priorities provided by Customer Service.
- Generate shop travelers with all required customer specifications.
- Designate units for Warranty Inspection based on warranty tables; provide prior teardown reports as needed for QC evaluation.
- Resolve discrepancies with customers (e.g., incorrect part/serial numbers, PO issues, damage, missing paperwork) before routing units to production.
- Ensure shop travelers are fully completed with all required fields.
- Include all relevant documents (e.g., drawings, ECNs, customer instructions) for modification units.
- Maintain and update the Capability List upon receiving new part numbers.
- Record Aircraft Make and Model on all incoming documentation.
- Identify and clearly mark any visible damage or issues on received units.
- Scan all received items (front and back) into the system.
- Note special containers and label with work order numbers; add notes to the shop traveler accordingly.
- Identify whether the received unit requires a minor or major repair.
- Note Dual Release and CAA UK certification requirements on the shop traveler if applicable.
- Communicate effectively with Quality Control and Customer Service.
- Perform general administrative tasks, including typing, emailing, faxing, and filing as needed.
Education/Training
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
- Requires frequent walking, bending, and reaching to shoulder level.
- Requires occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 35 pounds.
- Requires repetitive hand movement.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
