Receiving Inspector

About the Role

This position will inspect products such as O2 sensors, engine control components, and other automotive parts to ensure compliance with contract specifications and company standards. The role involves checking randomly selected samples to verify the accuracy of equipment or processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspection of automotive components.
• Check, inspect, and test products to ensure they meet engineering specifications and standards.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and various testing equipment to assess product quality.
• Maintain an inspection log and record data.
• Identify quality issues and report findings for corrective action.
• Maintain regular and consistent job attendance and punctuality for meetings and appointments.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as required by management due to the evolving nature of the business.

Requirements

• High School degree or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment and knowledge of engineering drawings terminology.
• Ability to manage varying priorities and frequent workload changes.
• Mandatory computer skills.
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) is a plus.
• Occasionally required to climb ladders, stoop, kneel, and stand for long periods of time.

Working Conditions

This role operates in a warehouse environment with a cement floor. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, and the noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
