Receiving Inspection

About the role

The Quality Technician role is based out of Hanahan, SC and involves inspecting incoming materials and components to ensure quality and compliance with design requirements.

Responsibilities

• Write tags for nonconformances.
• Verify product conformance to design requirements.
• Document inspection results.
• Audit, surveil, and monitor processes.
• Identify and document discrepancies.
• Segregate and control non-conforming items.
• Conduct product reviews with customers.
• Initiate requests for corrective actions for repetitive or significant non-conformances.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in a quality inspection role within the organization, including familiarity with internal systems like Velocity.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and reading engineering specifications.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in manufacturing or aerospace environments.
• Experience with First Article Inspections (FAI).
• Knowledge of quality standards and specifications, such as AS9100.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Experience with ERP or MES systems like SAP or Oracle.
• Experience with quality management software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Skills

• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering specifications.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $28.00/hr to $32.97/hr.
