Quality Receiving Inspection

About the role

The position involves performing receiving inspection activities on incoming materials, components, and products to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials and components
• Review engineering drawings and specifications
• Document inspection results
• Identify and segregate non-conforming material
• Communicate quality concerns to appropriate departments
• Audit product evaluation against established quality standards and procedures
• Review receiving documentation, verify material certifications, ensure product quality
• Work with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to resolve issues
• Support continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Uses basic hand tools such as ratchets, wrenches, air tools, pliers, wire strippers, torque tools, crimping tools
• Uses precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, tape measures, thread gauges, and other inspection equipment
• Uses multi-meters
• Reads and interprets engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in quality assurance or inspection preferred
• Basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
