Job Description
The Pond Guy / Airmax, Inc. is seeking a Receiving Coordinator to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring quality supplies and service are provided to customers at all levels.
Responsibilities
- Verifies, audits and keeps records on incoming shipments in warehouse management system (WMS) to maintain quality assurance and inventory accuracy
- Compares identifying information and counts, weighs or measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, purchase orders or other records
- Inspects incoming merchandise for damage, defects and/or discrepancies
- Lables, organizes and transfers incoming inventory in designated locations; routes received goods to appropriate department based on priority and timeline metrics
- Communicates effectively with purchasing, supply chain, quality and inventory teams regarding any issues as well as outside vendors as needed
- Operates pallet jacks, forklifts, and material lift trucks to safely move, transport, load/unload, and stage materials between shipping, receiving, storage, and production areas
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment and provides quality, detailed work while following safety procedures and company policies at all times
- Aids in inventory accuracy through cycle counts
- Crosstrain in material handling and other warehouse functions as needed
Skill Set
- Minimum 1-2 years of receiving experience, preferably in a larger warehouse setting
- Experience using ERP systems, inventory tracking software, and/or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Ability to safely operate a forklift to unload trucks and move product throughout the building(s) while complying with MIOSHA and all company safety standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer knowledge in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and the ability to multitask within multiple software systems
- Ability to identify trends, outliers, discrepancies, and quality concerns through strong attention to detail; investigates discrepancies and troubleshoots issues
- Knowledge of handheld measuring devices
Availability
The schedule for this position is 6:00 am – 4:30 pm, Tuesday through Friday with potential for overtime during peak times, including some Saturdays.

Qualifications

- Demonstrate manual dexterity when working with small components
- Frequently bend, stoop, and stand for long durations
- Lift, lower, and carry packages typically weighing 25–50 lbs.
- Handle packages up to 150 lbs. with assistance
- Load and unload carts with heavy items (e.g., bags of soil or similar products)
- Push and maneuver carts with a total load of up to 200 lbs. consistently throughout the workday
