About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Distribution Clerk to join our Lubbock Heart team. The role impacts every patient we serve and we value your contributions.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the receipt of all incoming supplies for the hospital
- Sign the bill of lading for all supplies received
- Aid in the checking in of all equipment
- Aid in the entry of all receiving into the HMS system
- Aid in the shipping out of all repairs
- Aid in inventorying par areas and delivering of supplies to floors
- Ensure timely response to departmental periodic supply requests
- Comply with policy and procedure for storeroom requirements including fire code requirements, cleaning of the storeroom
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years’ experience in Material Management in a hospital
- Able to lift 30 - 75 pounds using proper lifting techniques several times during shift
- Physical ability for long-term standing, occasional sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching with reaching above head and below waist
- Cognitive skills for math, reading, filing, decision making and excellent communication skills

Location
Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital specializes in the care of cardiac, orthopedic, nephrology, urology, and general medical patients. We are also a highly active inpatient center mainly centered on surgical procedures that include cardiothoracic, orthopedic, urology, and general surgery. We have a 24-hour Emergency Department with 5 fully equipped ED rooms, 4 fully operating OR rooms, 4 cardiac catherization labs with 1 electrophysiology room, 11-day surgery rooms, 58 acute care beds spread over three units, and 16 cardiac critical care rooms.
