Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Accurately receive items using the processes required of the company's systems.
- Cross-check items and verify the correctness of inventory during receiving process.
- Maintain accurate records of items received, ensuring proper documentation is in place for all transactions.
- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse lifting equipment to move and handle inventory.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Computer operation – Operation of inventory control software, ERP/ MRP, word processing, spreadsheets, generate reports and ability to effectively communicate via email.
- Experience using FedEx system or use of comparable system.
- Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, as well as a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
- Previous receiving experience required.
- Lift truck experience a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting: Occasionally raises objects from a lower to a higher position or moves objects horizontally from position-to position. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs.
- Push/Pull: Occasionally uses upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs.
- Reaching: Extends hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs.
- Stooping: Bends body downward and forward at the waist. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs.
- Standing: Standing for moderate levels of time. Infrequently more than 30 minutes at a time.
- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks. In frequently more than 30 minutes at a time.
- Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
