About the Role
This position is responsible for supervising the receiving area and freight elevator, maintaining area safety, orderliness, and cleanliness. The role involves verifying licenses, insurances, and permits of all service providers and contractors, enforcing parking regulations, and upholding the rules and regulations of the Association. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- Ensures the receiving area office is never left unattended or unlocked.
- Prevents the receiving area from being blocked.
- Schedules the freight elevator for residents moving in and out, adhering to Association Policy.
- Registers all deliveries and packages (e.g., FedEx, UPS, DHL, registered mail).
- Reports all problems to the supervisor, including those outside the scope of responsibility.
- Issues parking passes to all approved vehicles.
- Registers and distributes ID passes to all contractors.
- Monitors the coming and going of service contractors and building repair/maintenance contractors through logs.
- Completes required reports.
- Requisitions materials, tools, and supplies needed for the job.
- Ensures all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
- Maintains a safe work area.
- Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
- Previous experience preferred.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Multiple language fluency is desirable.
- Maintain a valid Florida driver’s license.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedures.
- Work in an upright standing position for long periods; ability to reach overhead and have full range of mobility in upper and lower body.
- Ability to work in various positions, including stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, squatting, climbing stairs, and navigating the property/building quickly.
- Climb ladders and work at heights (up to 14 ft on A-frames and 21 ft on extension ladders).
- Ability to work in different environmental conditions (e.g., heat, cold, wind, rain, humidity).
- Repeat various motions with the wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Ability to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information verbally and in writing.
