About the Role

The Receiver / Material Handler is responsible for the handling and placement of materials needed within each department of the home building facility.

Responsibilities

• Drive forklift
• Provide materials to plant
• Receive material delivered from vendors
• Check off deliveries by comparing company material to packing slips
• Put materials in respective areas
• Responsible for getting materials to respective departments in a timely manner
• Rotate materials by date and delivery
• Check quality and state of material being received
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Previous construction or warehouse experience preferred
• Attention to detail and good communication skills
• Ability to work well within a team
• Experience operating a forklift or forklift certification preferred (training available)

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Work may require stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, pushing, and/or pulling.
• Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person.
• Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
• Work environment is not temperature controlled and may result in exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Work primarily involves sitting/standing, up to 4 hours at a time.
