Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Affords assistance to the Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient operation of the warehouse.
• Utilizes RF Scanner, manual product picking QC, wrapping, staging, and labeling.
• Displays general understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment.
• Loads and unloads RJW truck/trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including handling outside carrier equipment.
• Flexible to work 10 to 12 hour shifts when necessary and not afraid of heights.
• Picks and moves stock from 1 lb. to 50 lbs., multiple times.
• Ensures all shipments are correctly staged and loaded properly.
• Maintains warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping.
• Processes outbound cross-dock freight as necessary.
• Oversees storing stock properly in the warehouse and moving product into the storage racks.
• Records and verifies the accuracy of the shipments against the paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments/deliveries.
• Ensures all documentation and paperwork is properly completed.
• Able to follow all OSHA regulations, RJW safety policies, and procedures.
• Handles all customer products properly and orderly.
• Checks deliveries for poor packing, general condition of materials, and free of damage.
• Alerts Warehouse Supervisor of any problems, taking pictures if necessary.
• Reports all accidents/incidents, to employee, damage of stock, or building damage to the Shift Supervisor immediately.
• Spotting of trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and flow of equipment for the day.
• Maintains access to dock doors both inside and outside the facility keeping them free of debris or snow.
• Other tasks as assigned by manager/supervisor.

Additional Responsibilities

• Possesses a sense of urgency, accountability, and be able to work with limited supervision.
• General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Attention to detail and quality a must.
• Good communication, clear and concise, problem resolution, and people skills.
• Flexibility in working overtime when needed, and supplying coverage to other shifts.
• PC skills helpful.
• Able to work in a fast-paced warehouse.

Qualifications

• 3-6 months of General Labor experience in a warehouse using a RF scanner required.
• Good stable work record.
• Education and/or Experience Required: High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED).
• Warehousing certifications a plus.
