Rebuild Technician I

Duties

• Inspects and troubleshoots incoming crane and hoist components for defects, wear, and abnormal issues.
• Disassemble components completely and reassemble.
• Provide repair recommendations to Rebuild Manager.
• Perform repairs by welding, assembling, operating press, grinding, painting, etc.
• Rigging and operating overhead cranes.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1-2 Years Maintenance or Millwright Experience.
• Basic Mechanical and Electrical knowledge.
• Overhead Crane Use/Service Knowledge (preferred but not required).
• Possess a Valid Driver’s License.
• Own basic hand tools.
• Ability to read and understand machining and fabrication blueprints.
• Ability to read tape measure and various scales.
• Ability to read and understand job specifications.
• Possess a positive attitude to learn and grow, be punctual, and willing to work overtime to complete projects as necessary.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand/walk 95% of the workday.
• Lift/Carry up to 40-50 pounds unassisted.
• Squat, twist, reach, climb, and bend frequently.
• Ability to push/pull material with equipment assistance.
• Possess hand/eye coordination and bilateral dexterity (gross and fine).
• Possess depth perception and peripheral vision.
• Possess the ability to hear.
• Subject to working frequently at considerable heights.
• Exposure to hot and cold conditions.
