About the role

Entry-level position responsible for assisting with right-of-way projects. Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g., H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct title research
  • Prepare land acquisition forms
  • Establish current market value of subject land
  • Complete non-complex negotiations with landowners to secure properties through purchase, donation, or condemnation
  • Complete non-complex relocation assistance work as required in accordance with the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970, as amended (Uniform Act)
  • Assist in the preparation of bid proposals, project estimates, purchase orders, specifications, and draft contract documents for projects
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

  • BS or BA degree in Real Estate, Business, Economics, or a related field (preferred)
  • Valid GA Real Estate Salesperson License; OR in the process of obtaining; OR ability to obtain within the first 6 months of employment
  • GA Appraisal License (preferred)
  • Real estate experience, familiarity with titles, real estate documents, and legal descriptions
  • Land use and acquisition courses (preferred)

Working Conditions

  • Some work is performed within a general office environment (sedentary, with occasional standing and walking).
  • Significant field work (50% or more) is required, which may involve outdoor conditions in heat/cold, wet/humid, or dry/arid environments.
  • Some lifting (up to 25 lbs.) may be required.
  • Work location is flexible, but travel throughout the state of Georgia will be required.
