Real Estate Maintenance Technician - NC

About the role

Ingles Markets began in 1963 as a single supermarket and has since grown into a regional grocery store chain with just under 200 retail locations operating in 6 southeastern states, a 1.6-million-square foot distribution center, two truck fleets, and a milk processing plant. Ingles Markets’ headquarters and distribution center are located just 15 minutes outside of Asheville, NC in the town of Black Mountain.

Responsibilities

• Roadway/parking lot repairs, patching potholes
• Building maintenance, dry wall repairs, floor tile replacement, restroom maintenance, interior/exterior painting
• HVAC filter changes and maintenance
• Minor plumbing and electrical repairs, replacing electrical outlets and covers
• Must have knowledge of an assortment of hand tools

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 21 years of age or older
• Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen
• Related construction or maintenance experience is desired
• Welding experience is preferred

Skills

• Strong time management and organizational skills, with particular attention to detail
• General handyman expertise and knowledge
• Ability to complete maintenance tasks, as directed
