About the Role

The firm seeks an experienced finance associate to work on complex, high-value real estate transactions with direct client exposure and meaningful responsibility.

  • Represent lenders and borrowers in mortgage and mezzanine financings.
  • Handle real estate acquisitions and dispositions and sophisticated joint venture transactions.
  • Independently manage significant components of transactions while working closely with integrated deal teams.
  • Draft and negotiate complex transaction documents, coordinate diligence, and drive matters toward closing.
  • Work with collegial, team-oriented lawyers who are invested in associate growth and development.

Requirements

  • At least three years of relevant real estate transactional experience.
  • Experience independently managing components of financings, acquisitions and dispositions, or joint ventures.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, communication, business judgment, and client-management skills.
  • Excellent academic credentials and references.
  • Current New York admission or eligibility for admission.
  • JD from 2016-2023.

Pay

$260,000 - $435,000 per year base salary.

Schedule

  • 2,000-hour annual bonus threshold; qualifying credit structure applies.
  • Market reporting indicates approximately 1,800 client-billable hours and up to 200 qualifying hours for pro bono and other approved activities.
