Job Duties
- Communicate with clients, real estate agents, and lenders regarding loan closing packages.
- Obtain title searches and commitments.
- Prepare settlement statements.
- Draft letters and correspondence.
- Gather and research all relevant papers, figures, and documents, and ensure the contracts conform to a specific standard.
- Check for any objections or encumbrances on the title and order the proper documentation before closing.
- Comply with documents: contracts, settlement statements, closing disclosures, mortgages, deeds, and title policies.
- Ensure the monetary amounts are correct to satisfy mortgages, taxes, and judgments, and oversee the collection of all fees and charges agreed to for the sale.
- Ensure that all legal documents involved in the transaction are properly notarized, recorded, and prepared.
- Build relationships with clients.
- Possess a portable book of business (preferred).
- Prospect new clients.
- Attend networking events.
Requirements
- Licenses: Title Agent (preferred), Notary Public License.
- Knowledge of TRID compliance requirements.
- Attention to detail.
- Able to multitask.
- Excellent initiative and follow-through.
- Team player.
- Excellent grammar and communication skills.
- Dependable.
- Excellent customer service.
- Strong work ethic.
- Able to maintain composure in high-volume periods.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Resident of Local Area.
- 5+ years of experience as a Title Closer.
- In an in-office position full-time (not remote or hybrid).
