Ready Mix Driver
About the Role
The Ready-Mix Driver will be responsible for transporting freshly mixed concrete from the batch plant to the job site safely. This includes making normal operating adjustments to the equipment and material being hauled. We seek a candidate with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Deliver ready-mix concrete to various job sites
- Operate a multi-axle mixer truck safely, obeying all traffic laws
- Clean and wash vehicle, including removal of concrete buildup on exterior parts of the mixer
- Work according to customer demands
- Operate a radio to communicate with company personnel
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including company policies, state, and federal regulations
- Report all incidents/injuries to management promptly
- Attend scheduled safety meetings
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Current Commercial Class A or B driver’s license with airbrakes and tank endorsement
- Safe driving record: no serious moving violations in the past 36 months; no more than two moving violations in the past 24 months
- Current Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certificate
- Ability to read maps and understand verbal and GPS driving instructions
- Good attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work in extreme hot and cold weather
- Physical ability to climb, stoop, bend, squat, lift extension chutes (up to 60 lbs.), stretch, drive/sit, and shift gears
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in ready-mix or heavy construction industries
- 2+ years of commercial driving experience

Pay
$20.00-$40.50 per hour, depending on experience.
Conditions of Employment
Successful candidates must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA-regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
