Ready Mix Dispatcher

The Dispatcher plays a critical role in coordinating concrete deliveries between customers, drivers, batch plants, sales, and field operations. Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch Ready Mix trucks to customer jobsites based on delivery requirements.
• Receive customer orders and accurately enter delivery information into the dispatch system.
• Coordinate delivery schedules with customers, drivers, plant personnel, sales representatives, and management.
• Monitor truck locations and delivery progress throughout the day.
• Adjust delivery schedules as needed to minimize delays and maximize fleet efficiency.
• Communicate changes in orders, jobsite conditions, quantities, and delivery times to the appropriate personnel.
• Monitor driver hours, truck availability, and production schedules.
• Respond quickly and professionally to delivery issues, delays, breakdowns, traffic, and jobsite changes.
• Maintain constant communication with drivers while they are on the road and at jobsites.
• Help ensure customers receive the correct product, quantity, and service at the scheduled time.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records, tickets, and documentation.
• Work closely with Plant Managers and Production personnel to maintain a smooth flow of concrete production and deliveries.
• Communicate emergency or safety-related situations immediately to management.
• Follow all company safety policies, DOT requirements, and operational procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service and represent Delta Industries Inc. professionally.

Work Environment

This is a fast-paced position where priorities can change throughout the day. The Dispatcher must be able to effectively manage changing customer demands, driver availability, plant production, traffic conditions, and jobsite delays while maintaining a professional attitude.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous dispatching, logistics, transportation, construction, or customer service experience preferred.
• Ready Mix Concrete experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn dispatch software.
• Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, customers, plant personnel, and management.
• Must be dependable and able to work as part of a team.
