Reading Interventionist, Unbound Academy (Remote) - $60,000/year USD

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate virtual small-group and individual reading intervention sessions for students in grades 3–8
• Leverage reading assessment data to identify fluency and comprehension deficits and modify instruction rapidly
• Adapt activities for multiple reading levels, including accommodations for dyslexia and related reading challenges
• Monitor progress using a clear, systematic approach and apply the data to inform subsequent sessions
• Conduct structured motivation check-ins that foster confidence, persistence, and pride in achievement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education, literacy, or a closely related field
• Reading intervention certification or endorsement (e.g., Arizona Reading Specialist K-12 or equivalent state certification)
• Specialized training or certification in dyslexia intervention (or related structured literacy approaches)
• At least 2 years of experience delivering small-group or one-on-one reading interventions for students in grades 3–8
• Experience supporting students with dyslexia or related reading difficulties
• Strong ability to engage and manage students in a virtual setting through clear, motivating communication
