What You'll Do
- Provide and deliver focused tier 2 and 3 reading interventions identified by the Principal to students in small group settings
- Create and deliver school-wide interventions through lesson plans appropriate to the needs and abilities of assigned students through push-in or pull-out instruction
- Use a variety of instructional techniques and reading materials appropriate for the age and skill level of students for the purpose of improving student outcomes and achievement
- Absorb and report out on data reading intervention progress data bi-weekly to the school leadership team
- Agregate and share relevant data with teachers and leaders
- Attend Content Team and Data Meetings
- Develop and deliver professional development related to supporting literacy in the classroom
- Provide the high-quality instruction time needed to move students to grade level proficiency
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as requested by the school administrators
- Collaborate with the school librarian to encourage independent reading and fluency across the school

Qualifications
- Demonstrated bachelor's degree
- One to three years of teaching experience preferred
- Massachusetts DESE Elementary Licensure Preferred, or eligibility to achieve Highly Qualified status within one year of employment, demonstrated by: a passing score on the Communications and Literacy Skills (Reading and Writing) MTEL, and a passing score on the Reading Specialist MTEL (or equivalent), and Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) endorsement
- Authorized to work in the United States, with valid work authorization in place by the first day of employment
