Readiness and Response Operator 2

About the role

Perform precise pre-service and post-service checks, including mechanical inspections, sensor verification, and data-processing steps to ensure vehicles meet readiness standards. Serve as a primary responder for in-field vehicle recovery, coordinating safe extractions, documenting incidents, and supporting vehicle repositioning on public roads. Use remote operation tools to maneuver autonomous vehicles during recovery or complex navigation scenarios. Provide professional, empathetic assistance to passengers during recovery events, ensuring safe entry/exit and offering light concierge support at high-traffic pickup/drop-off sites. Use terminal commands and internal interfaces to diagnose blockers, power-cycle hardware, or flash firmware to return vehicles to operational status.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-service and post-service vehicle checks, including mechanical inspections and sensor verification.
• Act as a primary responder for in-field vehicle recovery, coordinating safe extractions and documenting incidents.
• Use remote operation tools to maneuver autonomous vehicles during recovery or complex navigation scenarios.
• Assist passengers during recovery events, ensuring safe entry/exit and providing light concierge support.
• Use terminal commands and internal interfaces to diagnose and resolve vehicle issues.

Requirements

• Strict adherence to safety protocols and required PPE.
• Ability to pass background, MVR, and drug screening; must comply with the Substance Abuse Policy.
• 2–4 years in fast-paced environments blending logistics and customer service (e.g., hospitality, aviation ground ops, emergency response, fleet operations).
• Comfort using terminal commands, laptops, mobile devices, and remote operation interfaces.
• Valid driver’s license with a strong driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, and squatting in workshop and public road environments.
