What You'll Do
- Operate and monitor Graco paint proportioning, mixing, and dispensing systems.
- Set up paint recipes and verify material ratios according to production specifications.
- Perform color changes, line purges, and equipment cleanouts.
- Monitor paint viscosity, pressure settings, flow rates, and material consumption.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues to minimize production downtime.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on pumps, hoses, regulators, and related equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of paint usage, inventory levels, and production data.
- Coincide with production, quality, and maintenance teams to support manufacturing schedules.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions, material shortages, or quality concerns.
- Follow all safety procedures for handling paints, solvents, and hazardous materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with paint and consumable inventory management.
- Support continuous improvement efforts focused on quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
What We're Looking For
- Required Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Basic computer skills for production tracking and data entry.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial painting, coating, finishing, or paint line operations.
- Experience operating Graco paint systems, proportioners, or fluid handling equipment.
- Knowledge of paint chemistry, mixing ratios, and viscosity testing.
- Forklift experience or certification.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during 10–12 hour shifts.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb as needed.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to paint fumes, solvents, heat, noise, and moving machinery.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators when required.
